POSITION: Joint Appointment

SALARY RANGE: Non-Clinical Lecturer scale: £28,009 - £37,643 per
annum (salary can progress to £43,638 per annum, subject to
performance). Associate Professor scale: £39,935 - £47,685 per annum
(salary can progress to £56,923 per annum, subject to performance).

Background: The University of Nottingham's School of Veterinary
Medicine and Science will be the first new veterinary school to open
in the UK for 50 years. The veterinary world is facing new
challenges and it is our aim to equip our graduates with the
diagnostic, medical and surgical skills required to succeed in a
changing world. We aim to provide a progressive, dynamic environment
which will deliver an outstanding learning experience drawing upon
leading-edge teaching methods and the latest research advances. We
plan to offer an exciting and innovative five-year degree course
which is designed with clinical outcomes in mind and is based upon
excellence in teaching informed by scientific research. Applications
are invited for this joint appointment between the University of
Nottingham and the East Midland Zoological Society, Twycross Zoo.
Candidates should possess a primary veterinary degree registerable
with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons or a PhD in Zoology
with relevant experience.
